Phase III Construction
JK Sucralose’s newest technical innovation and transformative project (hereafter referred to as “3rd Phase Project”) is located in the Economic & Health Industrial Park Zone area of Sheyang Port, near Yancheng City of Jiangsu Province. With a newly acquired area of land of 600 mu, JK’s 3rd Phase Project is projected to have an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons. In order to get approval for such a large-scale project, JK had to pass many stringent technical and environmental assessments before being approved for construction. Beginning in May 2013, the project was reviewed and approved for preliminary construction by the Municipal Chemical Association of Sheyang County through the Notice of Examination of Chemical Construction Projects and Conditions (Document 10) and a joint hearing by all parties. On June 13, 2013, the Yancheng Environmental Development Advisory of the Yancheng Environmental Protection Bureau granted permission for the construction of JK’s 3rd Phase Project after the project passed its Environmental Impact Assessment under the document “Advisory Opinions on the Environmental Management and Assessment of Construction Projects” (Document 29). Then on March 21, 2014, the project was put into the official registry by the Yancheng Economic and Information Commission (No. 32900141066-3). A technical evaluation of the 3rd Phase Project’s waste water and gas treatment plan was completed on January 22, 2014 (Yancheng Environmental Assessment Document 12). The evaluation and assessment by the Yancheng Environmental Protection Bureau’s Technical Evaluation Center of the project was completed on February 24, 2014 filed under the document (Yancheng Environmental Assessment Document 2). JK obtained the Yancheng Environmental Protection Bureau’s Assessment Report and Examination Approval on February 15, 2015 (Document 10). Lastly, the 3rd Phase Project obtained the land use certification for its construction from the Sheyang Government on September 29, 2015 (Under the Sheyang Land Use Documents 601248, 601249 and 601250), after which construction officially commenced. Currently, the project’s first 2,000 ton production line is expected to start production in 2019, and the second 2,000 ton production line will come online in 2020.
